So I bought my son a school desk. I found it during my incessant thrift store hopping. It isn't the most gorgeous piece of furniture, but at only $4.99 how could I pass it up. It is also a fully foldable, storable one. He already has a great desk in his room. But this way we don't necessarily have to be stuck in his room when we do the homeschooling thing. I am sure you are wondering why I don't just use the kitchen table....but why would I, when I could go out and get something that doesn't work quite as well and I get to pay money for it. Makes sense to me. When I brought it home, Edgard said "oh, hey...a poopy tray" Now, I know it is a bit rough around the edges but I can clean it up and slap some paint on it. But he said that he didn't say poopy tray at all, he claimed he said "pupitre." ...sure. I know his opinion of my junk store obsession. But, yet, when I Googled pupitre, as opposed to poopy tray---it seems to back up his story. You learn something new everyday.
The next day I showed Anthony his new desk. He was so thrilled about it...until he sat down. Too bad his mommy forgot he is a left hander when she bought him a right-handed desk.
