feliz dia de los muertos


Sorry about the poor quality of the picture. I keep hinting to Edgard about needing a new camera. Other things that I have hinted at, to Edgard, unsuccessfully:
  • two, additional, children
  • landscaping the backyard
  • my own laptop
  • personal trainer, maid, cook, butler---although, I am not unreasonable...I could live without the butler.
  • reading my blog, voluntarily, without begging and tears-----on his side...
  • the fact of my unwavering rightness

    Hints are good. You are a nicer wife than me. I usually state as a matter of fact when I feel we need something! Then look at Scott like, "what are you going to do about that?". Happy Halloween!

    You never fail to make me giggle! Husbands don't do so well with hints, I've found. YOu have to spell things out, very specifically, sometimes with pictures and charades. Then they need reminders (lots of reminders!).

Is it just me or is it really annoying to read about some poor slob in Better Homes and Gardens who has painstakingly remodeled his or her "tiny" home...only to turn the page to find that their postage stamp of a house is actually upwards of 2000 square feet? This is my open statement to all those people who think they are living in a small house. 3800 Square feet is not a cottage. 2000 square feet is not space challenged. And, yes, if you are one or two people complaining about living in a house that is 1800 square feet...you are indeed, a whiner! Am I crazy or does anyone else find this absurd? Come on...weigh in. Let us know what you think---good or bad---in the comments. Does this bother you as well? What size of a house do you live in? Do you feel your house is too large, too small, or just right? ---And just for the record...the four of us share a measly 865 square feet. That is roughly 215 a piece. eight years

Today is our eighth wedding anniversary. In honor of that, I would like to transcribe a card written by my husband that I received on our fifth anniversary. It is the collected and random thoughts of my husband written in every available space of the card. Amor: Today is a wonderful day. I have been counting the days, but without a doubt, it does not seem to be five years. Everything is as nice as before but with a lot more satisfaction and pride in our marriage. I am happy to have you by my side all the time. To know that you are a great mother keeps me calm and that every time I make a mistake, you talk to me and teach me something new. You are my angel (I love you). I don't know what it is, but to talk about our marriage is a great thing. It makes me feel a huge happiness (never ends). ...when did they grow so big?

As I did my nightly rounds----tucking everyone in, making sure everyone is warm, and outside doors are locked----I couldn't believe how big my children are now. It makes me sad and happy at the same time. How is that for making any sense? This is my baby---the little one. What happened??? She is already starting to lose the chubby-cheeked baby look And seriously...I gave birth to that? He is huge. I can't believe how quickly time can pass. Where have my babies gone? Don't misunderstand me...I am looking forward to every passing minute and getting to know the new stages, but I never saw too far past the diapers and (advance apologies to any guys that read this) breastfeeding. I am in unknown territory now. ...But I had absolutely nothing to do with this one.
